The Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine (OIRM) came to us to update their website from Joomla to a WordPress website.

What percentage of websites use WordPress? WordPress market share is 40% of all websites. According to W3Techs, WordPress powers 40% of all the websites on the Internet, including those without a Content Management System (CMS) or with a custom-coded CMS. To put it another way, WordPress powers over one-third of the web!

An SSL Certificate was also purchased and installed for the OIRM website to encrypt their information and secure their domain.  Finally, we added Executive Security to back up their website routinely, check for malware, and keep the WordPress updates current.

Stem cells are the body’s building blocks. Of the more than 200 types of cells in the body, only stem cells have the ability to regenerate tissue and organs. OIRM has over 250 member scientists in nine centres across the province, including stem cell biologists, biomaterial engineers, and translational clinicians. We support our researchers and their trainees in their quest to answer key questions that advance stem cell research towards improved health for patients around the world. OIRM embraces collaboration, and its research and training portfolio is centered around building effective partnerships to best leverage our funding. This approach allows us to support a larger number of research projects and clinical trials.
