The Challenge

Great-tasting draught beer isn't about brand. In fact, most places serve the same brands; it's how they store, pour and serve it that makes the difference in quality. BetterBeer.com — Canada's only draught beer certification program — identifies the bars and restaurants that have made the commitment to serve quality draught beer.

BetterBeer.com asked Digital Ink Technologies to design a web site that would help Canadians find establishments where they can get great quality draught beer. They wanted a content-rich web resource that would offer information on why quality draught makes a difference, how the program works, and what establishments meet their criteria.

The site had to function as the core of a brand new business, and therefore required a completely customized solution — nothing "out-of-the-box" would work for their distinct needs.

The Solution

In addition to the design and development of a great-looking, easy-to-navigate site, Digitial Ink Technologies built a secure login system that allowed BetterBeer.com to manage all their certified establishments. Owners and/or managers must log in to see their certifications. We created a secure CMS that lets BetterBeer.com easily organize/add/edit/remove any site content, so the information is always up to date (or, in beer lingo, 100% fresh).

The Result

This site is an industry first and has created quite a stir within the beer industry. They have seen a remarkable 400% increase in site visits since launch.
